About Mark J. Carter
“Having fun helping companies, non-profits and business authors engage in cause marketing (online & offline). Passionate about small business & mentoring also.”
Mark J. Carter is dedicated to connecting people and organizations both online AND offline to successfully combine traditional marketing, social media and cause marketing. From seminars and training sessions to building organizations for entrepreneurs, nonprofits and young professionals Carter has shown his commitment to helping people utilize social media and business networking skills to create relationships that get professional results with both for profit businesses and nonprofits; the combination of which has resulted in his Cause Marketing seminars, trainings and events.
Carter’s social media endeavors actually started offline (consulting about how to create pivotal and profitable relationships) and then grew online by applying 7 years of research and seminars in business networking/referral systems in the social media realm: How to use Twitter, Facebook and blogs to build your business and brand.
In 2008 Carter founded Networking For A Cause, an organization that creates events geared towards young professionals eager to share specific expertise to help non-profits solve specific, time sensitive problems by working on projects with them.
Carter’s past & current social media projects include Chicago’s Twestival fund raising events, TweetNetworking For A Cause, Catalyst Ranch meeting & event space, helping to launch 15,000 square feet of office space in the Chicago Loop, the Metropolitan Club of Chicago and he is currently running the book launch and tour for former CSO of Yahoo! and NY Times Bestselling Author Tim Sanders for “Today We Are Rich”.
“Good marketing is telling stories.
GREAT marketing is telling stories that other people want to tell their friends.”
